Looking At Steam Carpet Cleaners

Today, there is a wide selection of extractors of hot water that are currently being marketed, which range from the small or large canister types that have the nozzle and hose to those that appear more like the vacuum cleaner that is upright. A steam carpet cleaner has one basic operation, to spray a mixture of detergent and warm water into the carpet, which washes the fabrics in the carpet and then easily extracts the final solution mixture right back out of the carpet. There are some stream carpet cleaner models that consist of revolving or rotating brushes that have the ability to agitate the carpet which will result in better cleaning.

In the beginning, the earlier style of the steam carpet cleaners that were being sold consisted of a nozzle and a special wand which was used on the vacuum cleaner that was of the utility type that pertains to wet/dry. With these styles, the long hose had a connection to a source of hot water nearby. The detergent that was used came in a really small bottle which was on the wand and it was mixed in with hot water before it could be sprayed onto the carpet. When you used the finger controlled value, you would be able to control how much water was being sprayed onto the carpet. To this very day, this style of vacuum is still being used.

Now the designs that are more modern are known to be self-contained based on the sense that the detergent and water mixtures are being placed into a tank that is located on the machine. This feature will allow you to be completely free of the long water hose that connected to the water supply.

The extractor's main part is going to consist of a recovery tank, a cleaning solution tank, suction motor, a cleaning nozzle, and some type of system that sprayed the solution. In the event that there is a hose used, there is also going to be a turbine or motor that drives the pump which will force the solution to go to the actual end of the hose.

Upright Steam Carpet Cleaners

The upright steam carpet cleaners have a suction motor, a tank, a main nozzle, and several other features that are all built into one. In fact, the entire vacuum unit is going to be pushed around similar to the use of a vacuum cleaner that is upright. Generally, the solution will be gravity fed straight to the spray nozzle which is located directly along side of the suction nozzle.

Most of the carpet cleaners that are of this type have brushes that are mounted in the exact same area in order to agitate the carpet for a better cleaning overall. When you are cleaning carpeted stairs and upholstered furniture, most of the types are going to have a smaller nozzle and a special hose that is going to be accompanied by stationary brushes which can easily be detached.

Canister Steam Carpet Cleaners

The canister steam cleaner is going to be accompanied by a separate nozzle and hose and it is going to have tanks and a suction motor that is directly built into a case that will be pulled along side of you. The nozzle is going to be located at the end of the hose and then the wands are going to move back and the forth against the carpet in order to clean it.
